Coachella 2014

Just came back from an amazing weekend at Coachella!!!! Still trying to catch up on sleep and coughing out all the dust from the weekend, but it was totally worth it.

On the way to Coachella

My friends flew into LA from London and Jersey on the Wednesday evening. Got to Indio on the Thursday morning and met up with our car convoy. We were 10 car strong! We lost 4 on the way in, but they were so close that we basically ended up camping next to each other. The sun was shining every single day and we were up and out of the tent by 8am cause it got so hot. Every morning we had a breakfast beer on the way to the farmers market where we had breakfast burritos to start the day. Most of the afternoon we spent chilling out at the campsite drinking daiquiris and hanging out.

Most days we headed into the festival around 3pm when it had cooled down a bit.

The art installations in the festival were amazing! There was a spaceman that traveled around the festival and balloons that lit up in the night sky. Surrounding the festival grounds were palm trees with changing colored lights on them. The festival is a good size to walk around and see everything. We stopped into every tent and spent a lot of time at the craft beer garden.

Had a stop into a few other bands while wandering, but didn’t stay long enough for me to consider adding them to the list.

On the way back we were rear ended on the freeway. The other car was totaled and thankfully everyone was ok. I was shaken up but we went for breakfast right after and all the sugar in the syrup on my pancake helped to calm me down a bit. Was quite exciting for my visitors… we had the firemen and the CHP helping us out!

Ahhh… wish I could go back to Coachella. There were loads of bands I wanted to check out but couldn’t cause they were all on at the same time. Already looking forward to next years festival.. I just have to pick which one to go to!!!!
